Flexible Spending Account

All Exeter Township School District employees are eligible to open a Flexible Spending Account administerd by CBIZ to pay for qualified out-of-pocket healthcare and/or dependent care expenses. Enrollment opens annually in November with employees eligible to contribute up to $x of their salary pre-tax into an account for the upcoming calendar year. 

  • The program covers both healthcare-related and dependent-care related expenses:

    Healthcare:

    The IRS determines eligiblity for FSA-covered expenses, which includes out-of-pocket medical, dental and vision expenses for you, your spouse and your tax dependents. Examples of items that may be covered include:

    • Medical fees: Insurance copays, co-insurance, deductibles, doctor office visits.
    • Dental care: Cleanings, fillings, braces (orthodontia), crowns, dental implants.
    • Vision care: Eye exams, prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, lens solution, LASIK laser eye surgery.
    • Medicine: Prescription drugs and over-the-counter medicines like aspirin or allergy pills.
    • Health supplies: First aid kits, bandages, blood pressure monitors, thermometers, sunscreen, menstrual products.
    • Medical equipment: Crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, hearing aids. blood sugar test strips.

     

    Dependent Care:

    This account is strictly used for care that allows you (and your spouse, if married) to work or look for work. It covers care for children under age 13 or dependents physically or mentally unable to care for themselves.

    • Covered expenses: Daycare center fees, preschool tuition, before-and-after school care, babysitters (work-related), nanny or au pair services and summer day camps.
    • Expenses not covered: Kindergarten or higher-grade tuition, overnight camps or non-work-related babysitting.
       
  • To access your CBIZ benefit funds, you can use the CBIZ online portal, mobile app, or your CBIZ Benefits Debit Card:

    • CBIZ Benefits Debit Card: You can pay for qualified out-of-pocket expenses directly at the vendor using the debit card sent to your home. 
    • Consumer Portal: Visit the CBIZ Portal to view balances, upload receipts, file claims, and set up direct deposit for your reimbursements. 
    • Mobile App: Download the "My Plans by CBIZ" app from your device's app store to check balances, snap photos of receipts, and submit claims on the go.
  • Fund plans run from January through December. Open enrollment is the last week of November every year. Funds will be available until March 15th of the following year.
