Frontline Cybersecurity Incident Information

Dear Exeter Township School District Staff,
The District is notifying employees of a potential nationwide cybersecurity incident involving employee information maintained by Frontline Education, a third-party provider of K–12 school administration software.
On August 14, 2026, Frontline Education identified a vulnerability in a third-party software product that may have allowed unauthorized access to part of its environment starting August 13, 2026. They promptly investigated, remediated the vulnerability, engaged an independent cybersecurity firm and law enforcement, and strengthened security controls. Frontline just alerted their clients of this nationwide breach.
Frontline is reviewing the affected files to determine which individuals and types of personal information were involved. Based on the current information, the data potentially affected may include:
- Social Security number
- Date of Birth
- Address
- Email Address
Employees should carefully review any individual notification received from Frontline Education or the District. The notification may include specific information about the data involved, an activation code, and instructions for enrolling in complimentary credit-monitoring services.
If you receive an individual notification, please review it carefully and take the following steps:
- Look for enrollment instructions. Eligible individuals may receive 24 months of complimentary TransUnion credit-monitoring services.
- Enroll by January 31, 2027, unless your individual notice provides a different deadline. Enrollment instructions indicate that adults should visit www.mytrueidentity.com and use the unique activation code included with their notice.
- Monitor your credit reports and account statements for unfamiliar activity, unauthorized transactions, or other signs of identity theft or fraud.
- Be alert for suspicious communications. Do not provide passwords, Social Security numbers, financial information, or activation codes in response to unsolicited emails, texts, or phone calls. Verify the source of any communication before responding.
- Consider placing a fraud alert or security freeze with the three major credit-reporting agencies if you believe your information may have been misused.
- Report suspected identity theft or fraud to your financial institution, local law enforcement, and the appropriate government agencies.
For questions about the cybersecurity incident or the credit-monitoring services, contact the dedicated TransUnion call center at 1-833-516-8792, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, excluding major U.S. holidays.
Additional information about identity protection, free credit reports, fraud alerts, and security freezes is included in the individual notice. Employees may obtain free credit reports at the Annual Credit Report website.
The District understands that notifications involving personal information may cause concern. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
